About The Author
Ulrich Brugger is a lifelong educator, philosopher, and writer whose work bridges the worlds of pedagogy, self-inquiry, and spiritual exploration. Born in 1944, Mr. Brugger has devoted more than fifty years to the field of education, both in practice and in thought. He holds a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, with a concentration in psychology and philosophy.
Mr. Brugger has taught in a wide range of public and private schools across Europe, India, and the United States. His diverse background has shaped a global perspective on teaching and learning, one that values introspection, dialogue, and the awakening of human potential. In 1991, he founded The Ojai Retreat and Cultural Center in Ojai, California, and has served as its director ever since, creating a sanctuary for reflection, learning, and meaningful conversation.
His writings—rooted in his experiences as founder, director, and educationist—invite readers to explore life with clarity, stillness, and openness. Brugger’s two books reflect his deep commitment to both personal and educational transformation:
- Eternally New – A universal and poetic collection of meditations for all readers seeking inner freedom, renewal, and timeless truth.
- A New Approach to Learning and Living – A unique exploration of J. Krishnamurti’s educational philosophy, offering real-world insights for teachers, parents, and anyone interested in holistic education.
